Ryan Kliebhan is a concept artist, Chicago native, working out of Buena Park, California. She grew up leaning over a couch, watching her dad play classic PC titles like Diablo, Half-Life, and Oblivion. This sparked an interest and a passion that has stuck with her through her life. It was easy to chose a career path from there. Participating in the creation and the artistic direction of something that would be played/ watched/ loved by a whole community is a dream of hers.
As the line continues to blur between movies, shows, and gaming, one thing stays consistent--artistic narrative story telling is the driving force in the success of media. Concept art being the first impression of any media, and the driving force in the look of any project, Ryan found herself being more and more interested in the artwork and development "behind the scenes". Ryan would describe herself as an avid and proud nerd, and wants to share her passion with everyone she comes into contact with.
Narrative story telling is something universal, and to do that through imagery is something that media like video games and movies encompasses. I works with this in mind, drawing references from mythology, books, history, and creating a design from that. This creates a relatable but interesting look that is exciting for audiences to look at--and interact with.
